The reason for the difference between them is how the welding process is done in them. The channels of LSAW used the lengthwise welding process suggested; that the hot curl moved plate (steel) is placed into the pipe and the welding of the crease is also done lengthwise. But in the HSAW the curls of steel are spirally welded, same as a helix, in a result of which the strip (loop) receives the condition of the pipe.
